Software Engineer (m/f)

The Alterface team develops and implements technology solutions to empower interactive attractions at amusements parks across the world – such as Legoland, Phantasialand, Six Flags and many more. To support its current activities and future growth, Alterface is looking for a skilled software engineer to join the ‘Salto team’, responsible of creating and implementing interactive ride applications, both onsite and remotely.

Etienne Sainton, Software Engineer at Alterface

The candidate must have a very strong experience in software design and programming, able to work individually on dedicated projects and as a team member. In close coordination with ride designers, engineers, project managers and media producer you take part in creating a complete solution for our customers. Accuracy is very important as our applications run 24/7 in every part of the world so all Alterface systems need to be extremely reliable and meet the highest quality standards.

In addition to technical skills, great personal involvement and enthusiasm are required to create immersive and joyful experiences for attraction visitors. The job involves international travel for about 30% of the year to manage onsite programming and finetuning of the attractions.

For this versatile position, the software engineer should have a master degree in computer science or equivalent in expertise. We are looking for a multilingual (French/English), confident and reliable personality with a keen interest in technology and the entertainment industry.

About Alterface technology – Salto™

Our technology relies on Salto™, an in-house built programming language created initially for audio composing, video and animation, based on XML and C++. Another key element of Alterface’s technology is the shooting detection on screens or theming. These two features allow us to create amazing interactive adventures for interactive rides and attractions.

Practical Training

We are always open to welcoming students for practical training if the training period is equal or longer than 6 weeks. Every year, we welcome several interns in content development, interface and ergonomy, computer programming and electronics.
