Create links between your visitors and make them part of the show… Morphistory is an advanced morphing application that literally mixes your visitor and produces a funny film out of them.

This application automatically captures stills of the visitors, morphes their faces and delivers new characters that are a subtle combinations of all pictured visitors. Visitor after visitors, face after face, a funny, yet movingly human, movie is created. The transforms, managed by Salto™, are projected on a large animation screen or can be brought home by the visitors.

The Morphistory exhibit at the Eugenides foundation (Athens, Greece) tells us that we are not so different from one another. Morphistory is the main thread between the visitors. It highlights the richness of human beings while stressing their differences and resemblances.

A more sophisticated version of Morphistory requires more implication from the visitor who has to make choices and take actions. The “BodyChain” is a particular version of a photo booth: a picture of the visitor is taken and key features (nose, mouth, ears, eyes…) can be adjusted on it. Then, the visitor’s image appears on the outdoor screen and the animation starts: the image is first visually “scanned” while the pictures of the four previous visitors appear on the side. The visitor can then select the face that he/she wants to be morphed with. Once a choice is made, the transform starts. A cursor allows the visitor to how much of each face must be part of the final image.

The use of a large outdoor screen is made easy thanks to our Kiosk™ technology that allows one to point with simple hand gesture. Moreover, the system is truly reactive and proactive since it can call the visitor out if he/she makes no choice or leaves the application before the end of the morphing show.
