The panorama of the waves presents in a spectacular and striking way the large spectrum of electromagnetic waves.
Part of the "Lumière Lumières" (Light Lights) exhibit in the “Palais de la Découverte” in Paris, the device proposes a global vision of all waves and allows the visitor to further investigate every type of wave: its applications, its emitters its wavelength. The system also allows the public to create links between objects or situations from their everyday life and the various types of electromagnetic waves (microwaves, electro-magnetic waves, ultra-violet ray, light…).
To implement these scientific contents in an attractive and hailing way, Alterface used innovative technologies for advanced interactivity that combines ease of use with a magical yet robust solution.
The system therefore relies on intelligent vision capabilities that analyse the movements of the visitors and spectators. The visitors are filmed by stereoscopic cameras and their attitudes are incorporated into the dynamic wall. The system is indeed managed by Alterface’s DynamicWall™ technology which collects, analyzes, understands and really reacts to what happens in front of the screen. It results in a fully-fledged interactivity without requiring any specific effort from the visitor.
