Who has already seen inside his/her own body? The experience is unique! Get acquainted with your organs, your intestine, your liver, your lungs... An outstanding encounter and a total rediscovery of yourself!
The Scanner is an interactive device based on Alterface’s Kiosk™ technology. The visitor is placed in front of a see-through mirror where he/she is virtually scanned. Overlaid on his/her reflection in the mirror comes a modeling of his/her organs, adapted in size and position. Every movement of the visitor is tracked and reproduced by the organs that stay perfectly overlaid on the visitor’s image. With simple hand gesture, the visitor can select a specific organ and receive more information about it.
The Scanner offers you to see the invisible, everything you are not used to see. The Kiosk™ embedded in the Scanner can introduce the audience in an original and sound way to difficult phenomena which are otherwise hard to explain or to perceive: doping, alcohol, drug... all physiological impacts that the human body can undergo. Kiosk™ gives an idea of the human anatomy, its evolution, and its problems. It allows one to explain at best the evolution of man.
An authentic inner adventure, the Scanner, presented in the Biospace exhibit of the “Cité de l'Espace” in Toulouse, turns itself easier to use and much more playful than a dictionary or a classic encyclopedia.
