Do you know Steven Spielberg's "Minority Report" movie? In particular, do you remember the scene where Tom Cruise selects some information on a huge computer screen pointing with his finger instead of using a PC mouse? Long before the release of the movie, Alterface already developed this concept when conceiving the Sphere.

Comfortably installed in an armchair, you control the system and manage the information by simple pointing with your finger. The "Biospace" exhibit, at the “Cité de l'Espace” in Toulouse, hosts this interactive device for 4 users.

Thanks to Kiosk™ and its intelligent 3D perception of the environment, the computer sees, understands and feels what happens in front of it. Our technology allows one to create natural interactions without the need to harness the visitors with cumbersome sensors. The visitors simply needs to taking place in front of the globe and to point with any finger: he or she can then browse through the various contents and investigate the information that is most relevant to him or her. In order to facilitate the interactivity and the future evolution of the message, all texts and images are managed in an independent database.

The Sphere is a magic and relaxing device that allows important questions, and their answers, about our future to be discovered with simple hand gestures. Other themes are of course possible.
