Discover the intimate life of ants, bees or ladybugs as you look at them in their everyday life thanks to virtual magnifiers. You have never seen an insect that close! Original, educative and fun, Microheroes gazes at our unknown environment.
The three systems presented at the Paradisio park rely on Alterface’s Vision™ technology: a camera hidden behind the moving screen takes images. The software then isolates the elements of interest, i.e. the insects, and enriches the observation with computer graphics, videos or sounds. It augments our own perception of the animal.
Vision™ is indeed an augmented reality device that adds layers to the real view. One can for instance see inside an oyster without the need to open it, or zoom on the details of a famous sculpture or monument, or just discover a car as it has never been seen.
Vision™ is also readily available in the « Rivierenkaart» (rivermap) version that magnifies the Meuse river and its banks full of historical landmarks. About water, we also propose a version about flooding with a physical 3D model of a hill slope.
Fun and easy to use, such setups allow visitors to interactively learn about connected problems such as pollution and biodiversity.
