MIXED-MEDIA DARK RIDE, 2026
New-generation ultra-low-latency pointing system
Fully natural flashlight-based interaction
Seamless integration of physical and digital elements
Designed and manufactured by Sally Dark Rides, Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare features Alterface’s upgraded interactive pointing system, delivering ultra-low latency performance (30 ms) and high-precision tracking for fluid flashlight-based gameplay. The system enables near-instant feedback between guest actions and on-screen reactions, ensuring natural and uninterrupted interaction throughout the experience.
Guests step into a comedic family adventure inside the haunted Phantom Theater, where a lightning strike unleashes mischievous “ghost notes” from Maestro’s pipe organ. Using spellbound flashlights, players capture these spirits and return them to the organ to restore the performance. Across 26 scenes, physical sets, animatronics, projection mapping, and real-time interaction combine into a cohesive dark ride experience.
